AIDS! It ravaged communities, the world and our minds and hearts for many years. I am too young to have "lived through" the 80's and 90's, when the epidemic was at its worst, when we still didn't know much about it and when it was connected with horrible stigmatism, discrimination and hatred, on a level many people from my generation and those younger will probably never understand. Inspired by the people I know who lived through this, as well as the amazing AIDS Memorial Instagram page, I have followed for many years, I decided to write this story, as my tribute to those who went through unspeakable horrors over several decades. So many lives gone too soon. So many amazing people, who would have turned into fantastic human beings, had they only had the chance. So much horror and death! And yet, in the shadow of all that, so much compassion, love and resilience. Every time I have read another story from "those days" I am filled with awe, inspiration among all the sadness, tears and depression. I can only hope this book teaches those of my generation - and younger - a bit about what it was like, and how much we all must appreciate those who came before us, who went through what they did, and who also often paved the way for us to live how we do today.

To be published in 2026

This book has not yet been completed. But do check in from time to time to see when it will be finished. I expect to have it ready early 2026.
